Great subject and angle - this shot has a very nice atmosphere and warmth. The only thing that distracts me a bit is the visible part of the car - the scenery as a whole looks a bit "retro", but the car looks new. Otherwise very good shot!

Thanks christofferjon for your comment and remark - i tried to cropp it - as for sure it distracts the attention and focus on the scene - but then I thought that the shop also had to do with the *neighborhood scene* !! So true versus compo, I don't know !!
Thanks again

Jimjim, I completely agree - I would never crop the car (the headlight) out either, when it was really there. So I would definitely go for "true" like you did.

Love the dog. This feels very busy, but I think that is good.

JIMJIM said 388 days ago:

Thank you Nick ;-) - Yes, that certainly is (busy) -, but they've got a job to do and they will finish tonight ;-)))

Everything above the painter seems OOF to me for some reason.

France?

I find this photo very interesting, not only because of the man painting the mural, but also because of the crop, which captures the dog but only portions of the bike and car. The crop gives the impression of a busy urban street without cluttering the photo with odd items. You know they are there, but the focus is still the man and dog.

great, great neighborhood shot. I want to see more!

mysight said 388 days ago:

That neighborhood pet sure makes this one special!

I love this. It screams neighborhood to me. The corner market, the parked car, the neighborhood dog, all perfectly European.

Hummingbird said 388 days ago:

Congrats, on the feature!

Thank you all for your cool comments and support ;-)
@Hummingbird : OUI !! this is "le quartier du Panier in the old town of Marseille" ;-)) - shot this tuesday evening while going for a pizza (nothing valuable in the fridge for my little family..) - the "funny" thing here is that François (the painter) and his dog (Princess) can only work while the bakery is closed, which means evenings and nights but I think they would be proud to be here !! thanks again and take care ;-)
