I love this image, it wouldn't have had the same impact if the woman and dog had not been in it. Very nice.

Aces for a shot that tells a story and is filled with mystery. I want to know if the person is lonely or happy, but since I cannot see their face, it adds much mystery. The low contrast of the left side of the images offsets so nicely the right side which tells the story. Really well done.

I still can't tell if the dog is running away from me or towards me. But while I was sitting there trying to figure it out, I noticed the great depth of field...the way the railing leads my eyes away and the soothing black and white tones. Nicely done.

I live in Bonn close to the river Rhine and I am at this place almost every day. It´s great to see what happens there through the different seasons. This was taken in Oktober....and I see this Lady very often with her dog...:)

Hehe... no, though she thinks so. She is a "grande dame" who takes long lonely walks with her Highland terrier, although instead of being oblivious to her surroundings while reading a book she very much studies what goes on with all the neighbors.
