Ana, mysight and pete thank you. This young lady was performing in InConcert, which is a local honors program for teenage musicians whose talents elevate them above their musical peers. Each year students are recommended by their music directors and then must audition for the Foundation in order to be included in the program.

I gave a large format of this print to her mother as she is understandably proud of her daughter's achievement. It's not often I witness such emotion in a musician so young. It apparent in her performance.

Mark,
You've been busy. Why don't you take a rest until the next theme (except for rating and commenting, that is). This is typical of the way you see things, very elegant, classical and graceful. The musician is dancing with the instrument. I like the way her hair cascades down and frames her face. The next and head of the bass are beautiful in their clarity and simplicity.

King thanks for the comments. I do have a large music image collection as I often shoot performances. The tough part is capturing the aural feeling in a visual way.

Music is such a wonderful skill for kids to pursue and I believe develops the mind in a way that is unique to music.
