Chinese dancing to crashing cymbals and drumming. I am especially critical in the use of flash for street photography. I understood why you used it, but I find that it renders the image very flat. The expression on the young woman's face is excellent, but your composition cuts off her very important finger tips which finishes her movement. Also it would be good to set your camera on manual and bokah the background crowd.

I personally would have liked to have a trade off between razor sharp focus associated with flash stopping motion for a higher ISO which would produce noise, yes, but more atmosphere which would have added so much to this shot. Instead it appears more snapshot like than what you probably were going after.

This says "dance" more to me than music. Now obviously, she must be dancing to music, but outside the theme, I'd really think of this as a 'dance' shot. I also wish her fingertips were in the shot.

I'm not sure about the relevance here.. is she dancing? Is she directing an orchestra? And why is nobody (besides the photographer obviously) looking at her?

This images begs the question, "If the audience aren't looking at her why are we?"

Ah, the dancer dances to the music. I wonder if tis will fly. You have my vote.

Too bad that finger is cropped off, though.
