I love the composition, a good one !

I assume this is post processed to achieve this look. I like it, suits the theme. I would have liked full black inside the body (round hole). Also the izi bizi black spot in the top right corner is a bit distracting!
But other than thit it's a great image, very well done!

Beautiful composition, although flatly graphic. Different. Contrasty. Nicely done. High marks.

mooch said 424 days ago:

Yes, this is what I had in mind when I suggested the theme.

Interesting treatment.

Way cool processing!
Wish I could read all the lyrics,
neat name for a song.
Great grain on that guitar.

Thanks to you all for your interesting feedback and comments. Actually, I agree, it's perhaps too graphic to make a good photograph but i was happy to try :)

congrats sam :)

I love the fact that the guitar blends so well with the sheet music. Makes for an interesting composition. Nicely done.

King said 423 days ago:

Congratulations, Sam!

<SHOP TALK>It looks like the grain is regular enough on part of the guitar that you could superimpose a music staff, with notes, over the guitar grain such that the lines might exactly match at some point.

This would make an entirely different photo, of course.

I did such a thing years ago with the strings of a cello and the wood grain of a shovel handle (double-exposure, pre-Photoshop).
