That dappled light must have been difficult. You've handled it pretty well, though.

There is something quite appealing about this. I probably wouldn't have taken this shot with the horn in the sunlight and the dark case in the shadow--this photo wouldn't have been amenable to color film, although this looks like it's had quite a bit of processing.

Was this shot with a digital camera? What processing steps did you take?

Hey King..very little processing, actually. I darkened the shadows that were caused naturally by the trees, and adjusted the levels slightly. That's it. The shot was taken with natural light and shadow, as was there at the time.
And yes, digital. :)

Digital is wonderful. Was this shot in RAW format? Did you bracket your exposures? Was extra light reflected into the shadows? Just trying to learn here.

Yes, digital is great. And nope, I didn't bracket here although, looking back, the extremes might have called for RAW and HDR! And, nope, no fancy lighting or reflector but for my glowing personality that shines onto everything I come in contact with!
