Yes, I caught the lizard this morning. As I was lying in bed early this morning, drinking tea, I asked my wife, "Do we have any musical instruments?" Neither of us remembered that she had inherited her brother's piano.

Later, when I already knew I was going to tease Montage and Vernon (and the cat) with this image, I found the little lizard and decided to add it to the shot. He was tethered to the music by lightweight fishing line that I later cloned out. It was released unharmed right after I shot this.

Technical note: my wife was holding the cat under its armpits. Except for the extra, blurry paws, this is a straight photograph.

Of course, Montage's and Vernon's photos are delicate masterpieces compared to this cartoon. I only created this because I was inspired by the delightful coincidence and juxtoposition of those two remarkable images.

Thanks very much. It is funny how fast this deliberate spoof came together after being inspired by Vernon's (#35) and Montage's (#36) photos. It was very easy to set up, light and shoot. I got lucky with this one. Also lucky that my wife's cat is very docile...no biting, no scratching, just humble acceptance of its fate.

The piano is a compact, upright version, and neither I nor my wife play, so it's just an object that sits along a wall.
