Great expressions, for sure. There's definite movement with the hair being blown but I wish there were more of an overall feel of "movement." Nice capture.

Ana said 280 days ago:

I remember this from 'wild.'
Very fitting here.

eterisk said 280 days ago:

I know the feeling.. scary!

King said 280 days ago:

Now if the ride were siting still, this would be very funny. Great capture of the moment. High marks.

King said 280 days ago:

zorilla...of course.

dallenogare said 280 days ago:

Yes : i love faces !

JIMJIM said 280 days ago:

Great panels of expressions and funny - but doesn't really evocates movement to me, more scare !

Beamer said 277 days ago:

Mom looks the most scared!! This is just great, love it. Every one of the expressions is worth looking at for some time. The hair movement is great.

Beamer said 277 days ago:

Hey, congrats, over the top!! Glad I went back and caught up on my rating, well deserved.

winetou said 277 days ago:

aaah i missed this one, this is really great capture. i love it

Ana said 276 days ago:

there's a mom???

Beamer said 276 days ago:

I read the second from the left as the mom??? Breast size, outfit, character of forehead, size of hands...

flipthom said 276 days ago:

Mom does look awfully young...15 or 16....and her "children" don't look too far behind her in age. Still, it must be nice to be able to talk about boys and be able to completely relate.

Beamer said 276 days ago:

Come on zorilla help us out, mom or sister??

Ana said 276 days ago:

Ages of girls. IMO.
11, 17, 14, 13

mysight said 276 days ago:

11,32,15,9

Ana said 276 days ago:

NINE? That girl is NOT nine. 11, maybe..but not nine. Her chest is the same size as the supposed 32 year old. lol.

Beamer said 276 days ago:

King, no opinions here??? A sage such as you must help us...

Ana said 276 days ago:

King? He's prolly too busy training doves and asking assistants to do things for him.
:)

King said 276 days ago:

12, 15, 14, 9

Gosh, I had no idea I was causing so much heated debate and controversy. Nor did I realize how age obssessed this site is.

I wish I could comment and/or clean up the controversy, but I'm inspired to rush out and buy myself a lottery ticket - and if I win, I pledge to give both Ana and King a couple mill each.

Ana said 275 days ago:

Oh, if you win the lottery, you and King can share the winnings.
I have everything I need.
:)

zorilla said 275 days ago:

Ana, now you're showing your age - the sweet naivety of youth. May you and your loved ones never fall foul of the American medical system.

Ana said 275 days ago:

Oh, I can't disagree with you on any of those points. I've been through the medical system myself and also with a family member.
I know how bad it sucks. But money can't cure the things I got, and it didn't save my father.
Maybe those things will happen someday...... if so, I'll look ya up.
:)

King said 275 days ago:

@zorilla...May I have Ana's share?

Ana said 275 days ago:

How about this, I'll take my share and then GIVE IT TO KING! Then he can buy a new camera and not use the "my wife's point and shoot" excuse anymore. Cause we all know how important a great camera is when it comes to framing, content and a good eye.
:)
(my way of telling you to just get out and take some new shots for goodness sake. Not that your archive stuff isn't great, mind you. But I'd love to see more of what you can do without the assistants and the fancy studio equiptment)

King said 275 days ago:

@Ana...why are you *deliberately* provoking me? :>)

It is not my style to look for images to capture--i.e., things that just happen or simply are. Rather, I prefer to get the idea first, then capture it with whatever camera is available.

Here are some, not all, of the *Featured* photos that I've taken in the past year or so with my wife's point-and-shoot camera (or my flat bed scanner), without an assistant.

The fact is that I *don't* own a digital camera and that my wife's camera does not have any manual controls.

Why would anyone think that a person who has spent 40 years using the best equipment money can buy would not like to have at least some manual control over images he makes?

Would it make me a better photographer? No.

Would it make photography just a bit more fun and maybe even inspire me? Maybe.

Ana said 275 days ago:

So you have just proven that your wife's camera takes "feature worthy photographs." Thanks for doing all that research!!
So is that excuse a mute point now?
You can very easily "plan" shots ahead of time by looking at the "themes in waiting" on the suggestion page! Yay!!

King said 275 days ago:

@Ana...DO NOT READ THE FOLLOWING!

The photo I "planned" with my scanner was featured. Does that mean that my scanner takes "feature worth photographs"? Obviously not.

The photographer makes the photograph.

Why is it that some folks seem not to want me to have a *DIGITAL* camera with which I can:
1) Set the point of focus
2) Set the shutter speed
3) Set the aperture

and that has a sensor bigger than a grain of salt?

What difference does it make whether or not I shoot an original photo each week?

Raise your hand if you have ever submitted a photo for a W.S. theme that was not shot especially for that theme. (Most hands shoot up).

Why do you care what I submit and whether or not the submission is from my archives or shot especially for the theme? Do we not learn from each other irrespective of whether a shot is new or from our archives?

When I go back to my archives, select an image to share and go about the various processes that get the image ready to present on W.S., I reconsider what I was doing in the past, how I would do it differently now and appreciate the things I can do with Photoshop that were so difficult and time-consuming in the darkroom.

It's all learning.
It's all growing.
It's all sharing.

Ana said 275 days ago:

I had my boyfriend read this to me upon seeing CAPITALIZED warning.

All he told me is that the look on those girls faces is a very good reaction to the current conversation.
Anyone that calls *themselves* pretentious should be able to smile at a time like this.
Smile, King.

King said 275 days ago:

@Ana...that should be "Anyone who calls himself pretentious...."

You are irritating me on purpose. I know that.

For those who don't know, Ana and I go way back.

Beamer said 275 days ago:

Come on guys we've gotten way off topic here...

@zorilla my original comment way back up this page was really about how great the facial expressions are. My mind instantly read that one was the Mom, so my focus was not on age. Then after Ana's comment "there's a mom?" I actually went back to look to see why my mind read it that way. I still think she is the Mom, but maybe we'll never know.

One more time, this is a GREAT photograph, and the speculation about the ages of the girls was GREAT fun for a while.

Cheers, everyone, I'll shutup now.

Ana said 275 days ago:

Off topic? Is there a topic?
Thought we were talking about boobs.
;)

King said 275 days ago:

That's what I was talking about.
