This is a tribute to one of our most prolific contributors....who seems to have gone A.W.O.L.

Les macrophotographes sont plutôt avares de commentaires et peu sensibles à l'humour, tu ne trouves pas?

I am going to stop paticipating in WS from now on, I think the concept has run its course. I see that the paticipation level has dived with these latest themes. I can understand why - they have been on the whole, uninspiring and dull. I see self portrait 3 is on the way and I have absolutely NO wish to start with a new round of those, there are plenty of other things to take photos of. Artistic endeavour is also not held in high-regard here at WS, new thinking and innovation are frowned upon by all but a select few. It's been a good learning experience but it is time to move on. Ana will be pleased as punch....

Andrew,
Can't speak for anyone else, but you don't have to drop out to make me happy. It's good of you to say goodbye, however. You'll be missed.

I wish there were a *lot* more participation, more interesting themes, etc., but I'm here to learn and have learned from every theme.

Please tell me two more things before you go:
1. What is it that you want from WeeklyShot that you are no longer getting?...I mean personal things rather than what think WeeklyShot should be in general; and
2. Why did you choose this particular image to accompany your good-bye?

Cheers, mate.
