I love it. A tad, and I do mean a tad, more light/contrast on the subject, a possibility? Then again I'm brand new to b&w, so throw me to the wolves.

First this image is too dark and lacking of contrast. Second that twig/weed coming from right is very distracting since it is the brightest part of the image. Both of those makes this image not work for me. I do like the low vantage point however.

The image is fairly dark though... I wonder if a different b&w conversion / filter would show more contrast?

Dave- First off as a viewer this looks dark as in the tones are not bright enough so it comes across as technically poor to me. This could have used more exposure IMHO and more contrast. Second as a viewer there is no way to know if rain is coming or not. Regardless it doesn't change the technical aspect of the image now that I do know. A viewer can only judge an image based on what is clearly visible and what is actually in the composition, not what is outside of it (like a pending storm).
