America! If I had to guess, I would say this is King , or a friend of him (sorry, I couldn't resist).
Whoever it is, excellent work!

philippe said 587 days ago:

Oops! Still great.

star spangled bubbles.

dcreighton said 587 days ago:

Philippe- It's totally mine, I promise. ;^)

Blizzard- Yeah I liked that image of yours a hell of a lot and held back posting a rain drops image I had in mind because of it (darn you- LOL). This image wasn't eligable anyway as this is ice drops formed by condensation.

is it digitally/sofware retouch ??

Flatline said 587 days ago:

Perfect! Did you set up this shot? Did you try different images in the bubbles?

CushmoK said 587 days ago:

really beautiful and very well done...

dcreighton said 587 days ago:

@ uvikidd- Not one bit. As shot straight from camera other then cropped to square, normal contrast adjustment, sharpening, dust removal.

@ Flatline- Not this time. Other items didn't look right.

Great effect. This one jumps off the screen at me and I really like it.

Incredible image, one of my favorites of the theme so far. The sharpness is magnificent.

Thanks all for your ratings and comments.

FYI- for those that enjoy the technical side of things. This was ice condensation drops formed on a piece of plexiglass (was hoping for frost but got droplets). The flag was the most recent photo prop I purchased and worked great with the droplets so it got pulled into duty. The star was light painted with a cheap little flashlight.

George said 585 days ago:

Outstanding shot Dan, as always. Different, compelling, layered both literally and figuratively. Congrats on the feature, and for taking the theme to a new place.

bioLarzen said 585 days ago:

It's amazing. In every respect. Congratulations!

George said 560 days ago:

Dan, have you seen any of Brian Oblesbee's "Aquatique" images? The March/April issue of American Photo has an article him and some images. They are spectacular. This image reminds me of his work.

psychodudu said 560 days ago:

So how did you achieve this image again, Dan? Just water droplets, you say....amazing...

dcreighton said 560 days ago:

@ George- I have that issue and I did take a look at some of the pics. They are outstanding.

@Psychdudu- Well ice droplets formed from condensation. A happy mistake as I was trying to get frost to form on the plexiglass.
