I guess someone has to play the bad guy (not that I like the part), but I don't like this picture: I don't like the idea, because this has been done so many times, and in a much better way. I don't like the framing: the fact that we don't the eyebrow and the cropped eyelashes. I don't like the wide open eye and I don't like the reflection of the camera. I'm surprised nobody said that the lower left part is distracting. After that, you won't believe me if I tell you I don't consider myself as a nitpicker... Some people liked your image so, don't trust me and congrats anyway.

I agree with philippe here. I think we're getting a litle carried away here. There are many of us that can't afford the lenses to do work like this, so we get over-emotional about seeing macros. If you apply the same rules of photography to this as you would to any other type of photo, this would likely not be featured.

Just FYI, I used a 65$ reverse mounted 50mm lens, but I appreciate everyones honesty.

I think the feature is well deserved. It is very relevant to the theme and a well composed shot overall. Congrats!
