Doesn't work for me, the opposite goal (assuming I guessed correctly) is too much out of focus.

Fits the theme but isn't high on impact. The fence is nicely exposed and crisply focused though.

uncommondepth, that is not a fence, it is the net of a goal! Clearly not a football fan ;-)

I very much like the idea. I gave this very high marks overall, but if there was to be one thing I suggest for making the image even stronger, it would be to have the environment around the goal in the background... somehow more "light" and "airy". The image, while technically beautiful, gives me a sad sort of air because of the dusky color to the environment.

A shift of focus to the other goal would be much more effective for the looking through theme. Focusing on this net makes this more of a looking at shot.
