A pleasant scene. I'm assuming your take on the "looking through" part is that we can look through the branches to the sky beyond? If so, I understand what you're going for, but since there's no subject beyond the trees, the trees themselves become the subject, in which case to me there really is no "looking through" aspect to the image.

Jason, I hope my comment makes sense, but if not please let me know what your intention of the image is. Perhaps my take on the theme is way off.

George,
Your comments made sense. I really didn't expect anyone to understand this posting... perhaps it's not relevant, and maybe I'm just rationalizing, but here's my explanation:
If you look carefully, you will notice that this is not a photo of trees. It is actually a photo of water. Through the reflections (of the trees) you can see the swamp grasses and leaves on the bottom of the pond.
P.S. It may help to turn your monitor upside down. =)

Jason, now it makes sense! I thought the swamp grasses/leaves were wisps of clouds in the sky. It's too bad I couldn't tell it was water, as I think it might have had more impact. Great idea, nonetheless!

Thanks George, No worries. In the original they were a bit more clear. I liked obscuring them a bit more to actually blend them in with the sky. It was meant to be a trick. =) Also, its a bit more obvious as higher resolution.
