You have no idea how difficult it is to hold the wire steady behind the hole of the needle.. ;-) Trust me I've tried.. Maybe with a bigger needle and a thicker wire that would work. But have to make do with what's laying around..

Oh yeah I wasn't saying it would be practical or easy to get the "look through" angle but just what would make it more relevant to me. BTW I just clamp subjects like this. Makes holding things steady super easy. Just don't breath too hard to make the thread move then! LOL.

Great macro! If the needle were tilted a bit more for the camera to look though, it would be more relevant.

a very clever interpretation of the theme!

Cool. I had the same idea, but with the eye looking behind. Too late! :O)

Great concept. A little too much white space for my taste, but overall well done.

Interesting. I'm wondering if it's a macro or scanner shot.

A scanner shot? Anyhow.. it's a macro Using a tamron 90mm/2.8 macro lens.

Very Very Good. No words...

I think that THIS macro shot is LOOKING THROUGH about so i think it is relevant.
With the same success you may say that some of the responses are portrait, some reflection, some architecture, and so on...
Well done again! Great photo!

Man in the macro theme I think this would have done great. In this theme I don't get the feeling of "looking through" but of "placing through". If you could have viewed the thread coming looking through the hole it would have been relevant to me. Outside of this theme I think this is a great image.
