Ahh - now I know where I've seen it!

excellent combination of colors!

Beautiful sky and contrasting red from the building. Well framed too!

I love the colours and the perspective. This is a shot that seems as if you tried to make straight, but didn't? I'd rather see it totally straight, or obviously tilted. The slightly off line, though, is disconcerting.

5's this is really good, awesome color

Ana: It's been awhile since I did this picture, but I am pretty sure it was straightened for the uppermost horizontal line. It is an old decrepit structure and there are few lines that are truly parallel. (I just checked, the top line is equidistant at both ends from the top and from the bottom -- so it is "straight")

Bob, I know what you're saying, and I'm no good at the 'camera distortion' stuff, myself. I didn't give low ratings for the shot, but just mentioning the slight 'off line' was noticed.

I love the sky and the color contrast in this. That contrail on the right just bugs me though. I might have cloned that out.

I don't know if it's the angle or the lens, but the building looks quite skewed to me. Nice color, though.
forgingahead said 574 days ago:
Dalton: Truly you must be joking! "quite skewed"??? It is an old building. The building is aligned with the top line of the roof perfectly straight with respect to the top and bottom edges of the photograph. I was NOT attempting an architectually accurate image, I was looking for a unique "perspective." Personally I don't see ANY skewing that is not a product of that attempt. Therefore, the "skewing" that you seem bothered by is in fact exactly the effect I was after.

Nice sharp picture with strong colors but it would have been nice if the horizontal lines of the house was horizontal!

Haven't we seen this before? Whenever, wherever it was, I remember liking it.
