Hi Jan: This is a 28 second exposure of the moon. It was shot in early evening (before it got totally cold). The scene was partially lit by the adjacent parking lot. Thanks for the interest - cheers!

This is well done and attractive, in its way, but not the type of image that appeals to me. That is, if I were in those woods at night, it may not even occur to me to take this photo because I tend to like very simple images, many of which I create rather than find. High marks, in general, however.

I think that if the branches were heavier with snow (that's snow, isn't it?), and if the snow glistened a bit in the moonlight, it would be a winner. Alternatively, it is my experience with this type of image that the impact increases with the size of the image.

As usual, with opinions, there will be lot's of variety. Don't let mine get your down.

This has great atmosphere. To me it seems somewhere between pretty and slightly sinister.

I like the trees on the right tilting to wards the moon and the night sky colors.

Hi King: No worries mate -it's aaaaaaallll about opinions! And I have to say, you're spot on in suggesting that impact increases with size of the image. At 8 x 12, this shot is really quite nice (can I say that? ;)

Nice through the trees shot. The sky is very moody. I almost wish there was snow in the branches.
