Neat shot. The color of the hoirzon line is beautiful. I bet you'll get some knocks for the straight on shot, but I think the people are looking up, the eye is drawn up and its a strong submission for the theme.

I don't think I've ever photographed a fireworks display. I've set off a few explosions, though.

At first I thought the foreground could be cropped, but upon closer inspection, I think it helps rather than hurts the relevance. However, the light post on the left could go.
