I could go on and on about this, but it's way past my bedtime.
Excellent work, George, and I see you've taken the road of lesser Relevance this time. I love to see top-notch images, and am willing to give high scores in Relevance to reward qualities beyond Relevance. That is to say, a nod in the direction of Relevance is enough, if the photograph sweeps me away. This is really beautiful work.

Why thank you, King! :-)

I like this shot because it's witty, the reflections and the colour. It's not quite looking-up enough, but I still like the overall shot.

I love the tones and the mirror effect, but this scores low on relevance for me.

Cool reflection shot!

Thanks, All, for the comments :-)
I beg to differ on Relevance (surprise! surprise!) Though it may not be immediately evident, if you spend a moment considering what you see here you might notice the angle of view: the corner of a building, on one side showing the reflection of mature palm fronds beyond which lies the edge of a roof line. I could not have taken this without paying attention to what goes on above me. That is, looking up. I'm the first to admit this is not bang-over-the-head relevance. But, por favor, gimme a break.
Love you all! :-)

George,
One of the finest elements of this fine photograph (IMHO) is the horizontal moulding on the right that points down and away from the center of the image. The eye is fooled into thinking that the photograph is all about the stuff on the left (palm fronds, etc.) while the blank area on the right plays a strong role.
However, the angle where the two pieces of horizontal moulding come together is not great...less than I see looking up to where the corner of my office meets the ceiling. So it doesn't look as though the camera is pointed upward much at all. My hunch is that you used a telephoto lens that minimized the vertical perspective.
You know I don't give a damn, but you know how strick the WS school marms are about Relevance. Just trying to give you some "perspective" my friend.
And, besides, you're asking folks who are rating your photo to "spend a moment considering what you see here." Hah!
Love you, too! :-)

Oh, yes, King. It's all in good fun :-) I'm quite aware no one can read my comment until *after* they rate/comment, but I don't let piddly things like that get in my way ;-)
I hear your point about the "perspective" (in both ways - heh), but just for fun scroll this page slowly down from the top and watch the area of that molding you point out: the line is nowhere near straight; the angle is quite sufficient to indicate this is an upward looking perspective...at least in my NSHO.
xoxo (and, yes, I'm totally kidding)
