For this theme, I would have gotten rid of the floor and the people, to make the looking up much more evident. However, outside of this them, I LOVE this shot, and I love how much of this room can be seen in the lens. It's truly an amazing photograph.

That's a long way up. I like the wide angle which helps accentuate the size of the room.

I wish you'd waited for the guy in the lower left to move out of the frame and that the left hand door was closed to match the right hand door.

it is the central station in porto.
I think the floor and the people are good as reference to see how high the room realy is.

on the other hand, it's pretty difficult to have a central station without people (except when it's closed :) )

While I agree with you about the floor giving the ceiling height, (dang, I love this photo) I think the ceiling is so powerful with the writing and deep corners, that it gives me a sense that I might miss looking up if I were there on a daily basis.

the 10-22 costs about 700 euros and is one of my lovely lenses when I'm travelling. things you love, you keep close to you :-)
