Expansive and cold, cold, cold. This absolutely conveys the feeling of the open plains, and the desolation of a barren winter landscape.

Well the lines in this image are more subtle then in other images posted so far but this image is very pleasing to look at and those lines work well in the composition.

This is beautiful. Even the sky has a linear feel to it due to its uniform flow. Great shot!

Nice impact. Great scene. I think it could use some level adjustments and I'm personally not a fan of putting the horrison line right in the middle. I think if you'd tilted down a bit it would have a stronger impact. Still, very nice image.

very lovely as everyone has already said. it's a lot of things, but it doesn't immediately say "lines" to me.

thanks for the comments everyone, @schmee: yeah, i wasnt sure i should submit this one to the theme, but then i thought the subtlety of lines would be nice in contrast to the other photos.
