Thank you all for your comments. I did crop the original, but not very much. I didn't want to lose the whole door.
It is a block of flats/apartments in the eastern docklands of Amsterdam. This is a regenerated area with lots of very modern architecture and a fascinating place. the slots are mailboxes/letterboxes and most have little stickers on them saying 'yes to free newspapers - no to junk mail'. More of this area on my flickr site.

Fascinating. Are those mailboxes? My only complaint is that I wish the cement of the doorway was cropped out, but overall I find this an effective and interesting shot.
