This is a large spiral-bevel gear (about 30" across the larger part) that was chome plated by the manufacturer to put on the cover of their catalot. This type of gear is used in oil drilling.
The original was shot on 8"x10" transparency film using a Sinar view camera. The image you see was created by a relatively low-quality scan and doesn't do the original justice.

You may be a busy man, but it does not excuse putting up the same image over and over again. Gosh, how boring.

And ANOTHER thing, EVERYONE knows that this is YOUR image, King.....

@psychodudu...and I've said such nice things about your recent submissions. Why are you picking on me? I've never submitted the same image twice...are you thinking of someone else?

Are you okay? You seem to have gone of the deep end and I'm a little concerned for you. I've read some of your remarks to folks who commented on your "The End" submissions and you seem to be increasingly defensive and hostile. Now you are attacking me with no reason at all, as far as I can see.

You are displaying evidence of a psychotic episode cause by who knows what. What's doing on?

Certainly worthy of a feature this one, well done King. I did sort of guess this was yours when I saw it in the submissions, knowing now of your background in product photography.

I wouldn't worry too much about psychodudu having a psychotic episode, he seems to be exibiting fairly typical "internet" behaviour if you ask me. As a fellow gamer, I'm sure Flatline can relate ;)

Thanks for asking, I was about to do it myself...

In certain games (Counter-Strike, Battlefield, Quake, etc) when someone spins out emotionally, he gets banned or simply kicked from the server. Llama (leet-speak for "lame") has mutated to a point where a lot of server-admins will switch such players to a sole "Uuurgglle" llama sound when they try to use the microphone, or any chat-text they type simply gets rendered as the above-mentioned "UuUrggGllee..."

The player then logs off, and is welcome to rejoin once he's cooled off. Or he simply gets banned if he does it again.
