I'd love to see more of the building. This photograph is very dark, and it's really hard to figure out what it is, and what is going on. I can't tell if that's a wall with light behind it, or a building with light inside?

the contrast of the white lights and the building in shadow is great!

stolenlife said 223 days ago:

@Ana. Sadly I only had 24mm to play with and you cant get very far away, only across the street. I think the white background on WS maybe causing the darkness - it looks darker here than it does in isolation. Oh, its a hole in the building - this is Regents Street in London, and the balls are Christmas lights, illuminated by the sun.
@Pete. Thanks

Beamer said 223 days ago:

Light yes, backlighting yes, shadows no... The globes have a very nice quality to them and the exposure is very good to preserve that.

stolenlife said 223 days ago:

@beamer. While there are no shadows cast, the whole of the front of the building is in shadow. Not trying to pick a fight, just my excuse for relevance.. Looks like we might need to knock the number down to 10 (or less) to find out ratings this time :(

@All. Crap, I just read the theme description again.. Better score this one 0 for relevance....

Incidental acrhtecture and light. Rather than an interaction of the two that is.

stolenlife said 222 days ago:

@mooch. Thanks, I think, Im not sure I understand your comment.
Note to self: Stick rigidly to the theme, interpretation will not be tolerated

A lesson I learnt a long time ago
