maybe if the building on the left weren't there, you could open up the image to show more of the skyline as it looks like you were trying to capture that to begin with

Hi there. I was using the two buildings to 'frame' the skyline. I tossed about the idea of leaving out the two side buildings, but I rather liked like framing.

Nice shot. Wish the building on the left wasn't so dark, also wish the billboard was lighter as well.

TammyLynn...I thought about lightening the sign.... but since the theme is about buildings and light, I left it dark. Also, the building on the left could have been lightened, I reckon, but I sort of liked the contrast. It made the other buildings look bright! ya know?

Wonderful skyline shot. I love the variety of color, contrast, light, and shadow. The use of buildings for framing on either side is nice too. Well done.

Ana...you are right about the dark building, I covered it up and the photo doesn't have as much impact without it. You are right about the sign too, it would take attention away from the buildings.

I just joined this group and this is my first subject. Reading the comments, weather you agree with them or not really makes you stop and think and see things from other points of view. I think this site will be good for me and my photography. :-)
