there's quite a bit that could be done to this to make it a photo with more impact. it's relevant in that there is a building and light...but it could have been straightened, darked a bit in the overblown parts, and some levels work to make it a bit more colourful.

Dave_Mac said 463 days ago:

Good on relevance, but technically, a lacking shot. It's a little soft and white spots (lens flare, water or dust?) in the sky at left are distracting, as is the crooked horizon.

A little over exposed, and there are some white circles that are distracting :S

Nice composition, I really like the sign in the foreground. The over blown bits are a bit distracting as are the dust spots floating above the church. Over all nice photo though.

I really liked this at first, but the more I look at it the more the tilt bothers me.

Thanks for the comments everyone. This was one of the earliest pictures I got when I got my Rebel XT. I can certainly see its flaws now, so maybe I'll clean it up a little and post again. Incidentally, the spots are from the intensely thick fog I encountered that night. Water was condensing right in midair. It was almost like walking through one of those misters you see on patios and sidewalk cafes.

Like the mood, but the lack of balance takes away from it.

Looks like an historic landmark to me!
A little bright,but neat fog.

The building is much to bright.
