Aside from the cigarette....which is like death on fire, this is perfect.

The is definate joy in this shot... I think that a centered subject works some of the time, but in this one I don't think it works. Try a little different crop so that he isn't dead center. The plants in the bottom right are distracting as well.

Your digital dodging really shows in the shot and I think if you go at that on a different layer with many strokes of a very low opacity it will work much better for you. That way you can also change the opacity of the layer you dodge for further control.

Love the expression though!

His expression is great. The only change would have been to exclude the plant in the lower right.

I love this! Reminds me of my father. Composition-wise, if I had to change anything I'd tilt the camera down and pan to the right. But really...I love it.
