Thanks for the comments. :) How is this not joyful? Joyful = happy...colours, childlike, etc...how most people have described it in comments on my site/Flickr. I just wanted to put something up that wasn't of a person (sort of) and see how it did. Cheers.

Yeah... I think this is a creative take on the theme. I've pointed my toes up to the sky in happiness before, so I can really understand how this photo fits here.

Delineated: I don't know how it's not joyful, it's just not how I immediately reacted to it. I do love the image though. I guess the definition I have in my head is pretty much a dictionary standard one - "experiencing, causing, or showing joy". I guess that a pair of cute socks/feet didn't immediately tie in with the theme (for me). Let me repeat though, I do think this is great, did rate it highly (not quite so high on relevance), and am really pleased to see that it made it to the home page ;-)

The colours scream happiness to me and there's something about the position of the feet which says excitement, happiness. If the feet had just been straight up, relaxed, I wouldn't have felt so much joy from this, but that little tilt of one... that's what does it for me.

I loved this one when I first saw iton your photoblog, and I love it now. It doesn't "immediately" scream "JOY" at me, after some analytical thought, I can see that it is relevant to the theme. It is an outstanding image in any case. I think that when a sspecific photo by a specific photographer is immediately recognizable, that tells you something right there.

Please tell me these are your feet! I mean I totally imagine the situation where you just decide to take a photo of your toes, in pink socks, with the nice blue sky - and that situation, that state of mind does scream JOY for me.

Yes, those are my feet. That's actually not sky...it's a blue backdrop. I was taking a break during a photoshoot, sitting on the floor on the backdrop and thought my socks looked good against the aqua-y colour of the paper. Funny enough, until it was mentioned, I didn't even think of the sky! Again, cheers for the comments. :)
