Wonderful scene and beautiful colors in this shot. The only quibble is I would have cropped out the other photog... it detracts from the image because of the theme... of course in another instance it would be a nice element. Well done.

I thought this was a still from a widescreen film--amazing. The light is to die for.

Great light and I really like the muted colour of the winter sky.

Great light. Love the dark sky, which would have lost its impact if you had included more of it. The only thing I don't like is the sulpture? junk? whatever-it-is on the ice at the left edge. The light is great for everything else but leaves this a nearly featureless blob that does nothing for this image. Also either losing the bit of ice at the right end of the bottom edge or including a little more at the bottom would help, but this is a minor point. Overall, excellent image.

A powerful composition. I love the brooding sky which perfectly sets off the rather sinister concrete structure.

The composition is spoilt a little by the dark shape on the ice near the left hand edge. Is it a person kneeling down or some sort of structure? It's difficult to tell.

I think this is great... the contrast of the looming dam and dark sky with the golden light on the ice.

If the offending shape is another photographer kneeling (as I thought it was right away) I think it adds more to the interest of the photo than it takes from the composition.
