I just love the subject and the setting here.
A little dark around the edges,
but without that the impact might be less dramatic.

This looks like the kind of statue that people would go to and pray for help. The fact that the statue is praying for help just adds to the story for me. High marks.

This statue, at a cemetery in Copenhagen, was hiding in a corner, nearly buried by these bushes. It was her supplication that drew me to her, and from the minute I took it, I could see her in dark sepia with a strong vignette :) I have darkened the background considerably, but the way the light falls on her face and hands was entirely natural. I also like the irony in the fact she'll be there pleading for help (or praying if you prefer that term) until she crumbles to dust. I might say it's because there's no-one listening, but it's also just because she's a statue ;)

relevance of 3.15??? How could you be bloody more relevant than this? This is a dog of a theme for sure considering the stingy ratings.
