A hug certainly helps everyone. Because of the composition being too centered, it detracts from the moment captured. The people around the couple move my eye away from the focal point.

I like this a lot, but I think it would have more impact with a better view of either his or her face.

Thank you folks. It was actually a sad moment as some of our US troops were saying goodbye to their families as they were leaving for Iraq. Not much I could do about the people standing around 360 degrees, and the woman probably wouldn't agree with posing in a way I could have captured her face nor would I have taken her last few minutes with her loved one to ask. So I took the only shot I could.
