I really like this, I think the darkness works for this image.

I like how the sign stands out. The person standing in the foreground seems undaunted from the sign and person on the ground...

This is a scene that I witness almost every day. The image is powerful, but would have been made even more so if we could have seen his eyes.

Powerful shot, but the centered composition could be improved, especially with that muddy black area at the left of frame.

You nearly got all 5s for me on this, and I don't do 5s very often. Composition only got a 4 as it's a bit too centered for my taste (a little bit more road might have worked?), but I really like the processing job you've done on this. Highlighting the sign and reducing the beggar to some feet and a cup really works well. Having a person standing there with their back to him (or her) is very good as well. Top work. After looking at thjis again, I can see how the composition was forced on you by the scene. Introducing more from the right of the scene probably would have introduced too much other detail, and you couldn't pan left for losing the person standing there. So I've changed my 4 to a 5. All 5s!

On one hand, I like the stark contrast of the image. On the other, I wish I could see more...perhaps some emotion or detail in the face hiding behind that sign. Overall, very well done.

Dark and depressing - well told

It is easier when the homeless don't have faces.
I believe I've seen this before. It needs a little more light,or else I'll just use my imagination.
A real catch of seemingly turning ones back on the helpless.Course I like to think they just made a nice donation.
