Yes, I am feeling the heat here. I also really like that the foreground, midground,and background are three distinct colors. Finally, for some reason, the fact that there is a little bit of water showing seems to enhance the feeling of "heat" here. It's like you can perceive it evaporating off the surface ;)

Certainly very relevant to the theme the shot certainly says 'heat' to me. But for me it lacks impact ... the slight vignetting on it (is it a lomo shot?) seems to tighten the composition ..

Yes it was something like 65°C under the sun... (150°F)
