very nice depth to the image and texture, my only nitpick would be to crop down slightly from the top to eliminate the white area at the top left, otherwise verywell done

Wow! It took me a while to figure it out. At first glance I thought it was a mass of seals laying together. Then I thought it was snow somehow, the I figured it was molten lava cooling. Very beautiful in an ethereal way! So textured!

Hot lava! Now THAT's a subject you don't see very day! Perfect for the theme.
This subject is interesting onits own because you just don't see many images of it. The large lava field is intersting, but I'd love to see a closer-in detail shot of the bright orang spot just down and to the right of the center of the frame.

Thanks all! This is a flowing lava stream on the Big Island of Hawaii, taken about 3 years ago. It moved slowly forward by oozing out blobs like the one gorin-images noticed. There were several other branches in the immediate area, one of which was pouring over a cliff as a "lavafall": one of the top ten coolest things I've ever seen.
