Whew, this looks like a hot day is coming. Could be sunrise or sunset, but it doesn't matter. It looks like heat.

Thanks for all of the feedback on this image! This was a sunset on a really hot day about two weeks ago. To top things off, that day there was also a major wildfire burning in Northern Santa Barbara County, so the ash/dust particles in the atmosphere had an effect on the color.

A rare combination of elements - the rich, dissipated colour with the white sun disc grabs my attention .. 'hot' immediately comes to mind.
