Very nice - something different.

A minor critique is that in terms of coloration the hue is slightly off - it's a little too yellow - the red looks slightly orange to me, but that may simply mean that I need to recalibrate my screen.

I agree with Flatline, it's a little yellow, but that may be the intention.

Yeah, there's a slight yellow cast to the skin and redness... (real blood?) but I assume that was a deliberate choice.

I think the ring makes this shot, hints at so much more than just a bloody hand.

Yeah, I'm with probe3 on this. It's great to mix it up a bit, and this one really packs a punch.

I appreciate the nice comments. The tone is a bit yellow which wasn't entirely intended but works well for the shot. I'm guessing if this were a dead hand (which it isn't it's mine) then you'd get a bit of discoloration.

I rubbed my hand in potting soil and water, then applied a liquid gel type food coloring. Then put my wedding ring back on.

Again I appreciate the nice comments. I have a lot more twisted shots to share if you're into that, lol.

Love the darkness of the image. And the ring adds so much depth. Interesting that a diamond anniversary band is on a man's hand.
