Not sure about the strange lighting - I think I'd notice the hand without it! Is it the gallery's lighting or yours?

Art piece/couch? The image doesn't say much to me, but I'm curious to know more about the place.

It's a good shot, but would have worked better without selective coloring. Tighter crop along the bottom, the top-left picture frame in completely, and it would have been even better to my eye.

I like the idea, but the lighting (which I am assuming is from a canister (track lighting) above the chair, seems to detract from the effect. The rest of the image (due to the lighting) seems flat to me. Usually I find selective desaturation of color interesting, but in this case, it does not seem to add any sort of "punch" to the image. It took me several glances to realize selective desaturation was used.
As an art piece, the hand chair is very interesting.

Nice twist on the theme. Inanimate 'hands' don't know if i'd want to sit there and be groped though :)

Please Do Not Sit On The Hand.
This is humorous, but that's as far as I'm willing to go this morning. Can you justify including the electrical plug on the left and the artist's plaque on the right?...unless, that is, you are the artist.
