This photo leaves me with some interesting questions...why does this persons hands appear to be bound? It makes me wonder what exactly this is a statue of. I would also like to see this image in a tighter crop, possibly without the city/whatever in the background, with a nice shallow depth of field. Good find nonetheless!

This reminds me of the grave of the unknown resistance fighters in Novodevichy Cemetery, Moscow.

However, this seems to be a bound American Indian...and equally tragic figure.

Very beautifully photographed with sensitivity.
