This forensic shot is shocking, yet is not high impact. Although there are hands in the image, the act itself overshadows the hands. Ghoulish for sure, but the lighting takes me back to days when these types of images were primarily used as evidence.

Wow! High impact! A bit blurry at the injury site which I presume may be intentional to hide the (hopefully) fake nature of the injury. Overall, very interesting to view. In my mind, however, because the wrist is the area that draws my attention, the relevance nudges down just a bit.

I have a feeling this is going to light up the boards here.

Hey, nicely done. Good idea. I like the flash lighting, it adds to the sense of an extremely private moment caught "in flagranti." Another prop - maybe a love letter or a mixed tape - might have heightened the narrative drama, to give us a sense of "why."

A shorter knife might have enabled a tighter crop.

Good luck with this image. I think it's great that you created an image like this. I hope the moralistic housewife comments are kept to a minimum.

Kudos for your audacity. I suppose folks think this is about wrists, or masochism or something other than hands. I wouldn't disagree. I find this photograph to be unpleasant, although I posted something similar when I thought the raters were being to concrete in the Doors and Windows theme.
