Love this, not entirely sure what technique you used to achieve the effect, but I find it really striking. This morning I found out that two of my old friends from highschool recently died in Iraq, so this has even more impact than it might have without that event, but I think the photo is technically strong, beautifully composed and well through out. 5's for me.

Moodeus- Very sorry to hear about the loss of your two friends. I'm glad that you found meaning in the image. That means way more to me then any rating could.

King- It wasn't an assignment. I created this image shortly after 9/11 to illustrate my support for our troops as they went to Afghanistan and I guess to also convey my own anger.
