Hi Ana, this is a woman teaching others origami, the ancient Japanese art of folding paper.

A very active frame. I love the age range and the mystery of what is happening...I look forward to finding out what is going on.

Kinda too many hands for me.
Like it's flooded with them.
Good marks go along with my remark though.
mysight said 417 days ago:
Well Mark,Too bad I couldn't have seen that these were teaching hands, especially origami!
King said 417 days ago:
Very nice. I wonder what's going on here. The focus is in the right spot (IMHO), and your caught a very expressive moment.
High marks.
King said 417 days ago:
I thought this might be one of your uncommon color efforts. It has your signature awareness of light, gesture and moment.

This is really beautiful.

I missed this one on my first pass. I really do like all the hands. If I could change one small thing I'd love if all the hands could be in focus, but I have a hunch you composed this that way on purpose.
pursang said 415 days ago:
Hi Anna, yes I did compose and shoot this image to accentuate the master's hand. Thanks for the kind words.
pursang said 415 days ago:
mtmartini, thanks for the compliment!
Hummingbird said 415 days ago:
Mark, Congrats on a well deserved feature.
pursang said 415 days ago:
Anna, had it not been for you rating my image, it most likely would not have been featured. Thanks for the thoughtful comment.
King said 415 days ago:
Mark,
I'm not going to give you any more compliments until you learn how to say thank you.
King said 415 days ago:
But I still think you are a genius. I really do.
King said 415 days ago:
Mark,
I've decided that you don't like deep, sincere compliments, as if they might be flattery, which, by definition is insincere.
Maybe you and some others don't think that your many accomplishments in the brief time you've been a photographer are in any way remarkable.
This is where age and experience come in. I don't think you know how good you are at what you do. I think you have a gift and that that gift may be your true calling. That's all.
pursang said 415 days ago:
King, thank you. Age and experience? HA! You don't know much about how Japanese Americans are raised, do you?
King said 415 days ago:
Mark,
I know *nothing* about how Japanese Americans are raised. You might enlighten me.
Are they raised not to recognize when they have an artistic gift? Not to value when another person goes out of their way to point out that gift?
I could go on, but think I should restrain myself. I could get hurt.
King said 415 days ago:
...and I was talking about my age and experience, not yours.
pursang said 415 days ago:
King I will write you off line, but not today.
