A lovely composition. The ghostly luminance is very effective, and the hands lovingly and casually supporting the forthcoming life is very elegant.

thank-you for your rates % kind comments!! i just came across it.
i myself wasn't too happy with this shot, coz of the blown out areas and i was wishing for a better b/w. but this is what turned out as i processed it.
i'm glad everyone likes it ;-)!
it's fun to read the unexpected!

I'm so glad this was featured. An outstanding photograph does NOT have to be perfectly exposed or any of the other elements that are sometimes over rated. The *feeling* of a photograph is much more important to my taste and this one exudes the bliss and tender moments of pregnancy. So well done.
