where in Poland was this?

simple yet effective black and white :)

Ugly vandalism on a beautiful building. A shame. I like the b&w tonal range in this photo.

I'm curious as to whether or not that's a name or a naughty word in anther language. Great tonal range.

This is Buenos Aires. Juan Peron was the dictator married to Eva Pero, who was known as Evita. There remains a cult of Peronistas.

@pete...simple is one of the things that I strive for in my photos--not all of them of course, but simple is good in my book.

Thanks for your comments!

not much impact, despite its relevance.
the top, left corner might have been cropped.

Flatline said 235 days ago:

A single word that eludes me... was Peron a church-going type? Was he oppressive to ministries? Is this about dogs instead of the Argentinian dictator? Am I not getting it...? These kinds of things kind of ruin the image for me.

Flatline said 235 days ago:

Phew, at least my dictator database is still intact :-)

King said 235 days ago:

@Flatline...thanks for your comments. You appear to be a very intelligent fellow.

Flatline said 235 days ago:

Ya, emphasis on "appear"...

pete said 235 days ago:

@king.. ah.. makes more sense! Peron = platform in Polish :P

Beamer said 235 days ago:

The writing seems secondary to the arch/door. Maybe a tighter framing/cropping??

King said 235 days ago:

@Ana & Bearmer...having looked at this a few times, I have to agree that a tighter crop might be better. I'll take a look.

Thanks for your comments!

Buenos Aires?

I'm intrigued by the comments and the need for an explanation. Who knew Juan and Eva were part of The Disappeared?
