I really like the idea, and the execution is rather good as it is. If I could change a few things, I'd try not to cut off the branch going off the middle of the top edge.

I absolutely love the soft-focus/in-focus stuff at the bottom, but the branch in the middle that draws my eye seems like at least part of it should be in focus.

I think this is a really clever shot. The light and branch detail in the foreground lets you know what the lights (nice bokeh) in the back are. Well done.
