What a beautiful composition. I love the colors of the wall, the blue sign and green post, but the trash bag isn't funny or odd to me at all.

For my english speaker friends, the name of the street means "Progress street".
Bien vu.
L'angle du mur et les branches d'arbre auraient pu déranger, mais ici elles apportent un contre poids au poteau vert, et qqch d'humoristique qui appuie bien cette image insolite.

Okay, this is a lame joke. If I only knew how to comment on my own pictures before someone else does, I would have added a warning to the relevance police: This is actually a found object, but it is funny? Not really, only if you have some French. On the other hand, some English speakers will, I assume, recognize "progrès" as a French perversion of the English "progress". And "rue" is French for "street", so ...

That's progress for you.

I thought it said "Street of Progress". Plus I love reading the french language (though I can only understand a little of it). It's very close to Italian, but hey, I can't read that well either. Though I did understand that sylvainman thought the angle of the tree branches weren't right. Still, a beautiful composition, trash bag (and branches d'arbre) aside.

If pro is the opposite of con, what's the opposite of progress?

I must not understand this image since I don't read French...
