I can't believe he's smiling with that ax above him like that. This looks like it may be some sort of ceremony or just the guys playing around?

This guy was SO funny! This was taken at this year's Columbus Day Parade in San Francisco. The firemen were dressed in their dress uniforms and this particular guy was carrying the station axe. He was holding it out with his right arm, bending it down by his wrist to as close as he could manage to his nose! His buddies all got a kick out of it and it was apparent he did this all the time.
