4 stairs and 4 piles of snow = double relevance :) I like the overall stark contrast too. Nice control of the whites in the snow. I like that you can still see subtle shadows there. Looks cold. Bundle up!

Ana we love you, Ana we do......

personally would have liked a tighter crop, but high marks in everything else :)

Great one, love the imagination!! Framing/cropping might be a little tight, needs a bit more context. High marks from me.

Nice exposure on the snow. I quite like this one

There are four steps in this image, but it is very common and lacks impact. In addition, the contrast has been adjusted to a point that detracts from the image. The composition could benefit by removing the portion of the frame on the right or moving the entire frame to the right allowing for some negative space on the left.

I like this a lot, but I think you should have cropped tighter, getting rid of that area to the right of the stairs.

Thanks everyone for the comments and ratings on this. The consensus seems to be for a tighter crop. I guess my main worry was for making it centered?
I wanted it a bit off center, and even took a lot off the left side.
For a 'tighter crop' are folks thinking of centering it? that tight?
let me know your ideas! thanks!

Ana, I see that you were attempting to offset the focal point of the subject, but in doing so you added unnecessary clutter to the image. I'm not sure what was to the left of the stairs, but if it was relatively snow filled, shifting the entire focal point to the right as I had stated above would have been a more structured and compelling composition. Even if the baseline of the house was at the top, it would draw the eye to the stairs.

Yes, yes, I see what you mean. Instead of more space on the right, where the house is..more empty space on the left. There is a bit of snow and a bush over there....but more space.
Makes sense. Thank you.
