How perfectly strange. Eggs? I am almost not sure as the look very glassy. Perhaps ornaments or light bulbs?

Now this is interesting. Four bulbs, so relevant. I'm curious about the numbers...8 being twice as much as four and 2 being half. Dunno if that has anything to do with your thought process but after viewing #16, I'm starting to read into things. Nicely done.

Then again, maybe it's just a friendly New Year's greeting. Happy New Year and thanks for the comment on my blog!

Tu as raison dans les deux interprétations, c'est ce qui m'amusait..un bon moyen c'est sûr de fêter à chacun :
"Une Bonne Année, an Happy New Year !"

are these bulbs? hard to tell what I'm seeing. oh...2008?
i see now.

Having the two reflections at the bottom make this a six rather than a four. I think you should have cropped these off.

Montage said 190 days ago:

or perhaps they're not reflections at all...

Are the two at the bottom of the frame reflections? They seem to make 6

this doesn't work for me on about 2,008 different levels - Happy New Year, anyway

Interesting, but I tend to see this more as "5" more than "4" due to the brightness of the lower right hand cup area. I realize that there are four bulbs, but the empty cup is so bright compared to other areas that it seems part of the number. Overall, an interesting image however.

Beamer said 189 days ago:

Very intriguing image, must say it feels like 5 not 4. High marks though. Composition feels too tight on the sides.

Is this an egg cell with a bulb? Great impact and Happy New Year 2008.
