An interesting way to portray the theme! Four... what are they? Gargoyles? I am not sure, but they are interesting. To me, however, one thought is that THIS image might actually be more attractive in color than B&W. For me, when the primary focus is on a section of the body that is rather flat and akin to a plane, B&W decreases the vitality that the skin tones would provide. It is only a suggestion, however, for I think the image is good as is.

@Lange. Thanks again for the thorough consideration. I think Id agree with you if the piece hadnt just been completed. The surrounding skin is quite red and agravated - not a pleasant site. But there again, maybe it should be shown that way

I like the idea. I wish there were more light and that it was a bit sharper. Is that yours?
Nick said 190 days ago:
Feels a little dark for my tastes.

@Flipthom. You are probably right. this was shot handheld @f1.8 so the dof is a little too short. If I say yes would you hold it against me;)
@Nick. The subject or the shot?

LOL....heck no. Tattoo all ya want. Happy Holidays!

relevant, but very dark, and a bit soft

This is just a straight on shot of a tattoo. Sure, the tattoo has four of whatever those things are, but as a photograph, it doesn't really do a lot for me.

Did someone say 4 skin?
stolenlife said 190 days ago:
@Zorila. Tee hee, youre a funny guy;P

Nice find, but really just a documentary shot of an tat, someone else's art. The tonal range is a bit flat for me.

A very interesting and somewhat disturbing tat, but as a photograph it is kind of flat and lacks any real impact.
