Yes dicksdaily, I agree with you. I also wish there was a little more space between that left foot and the red curb rail.
This came out of a series of shots of random strangers walking by on Stearns Wharf, and to get the angle that would have yeilded that space, I would have had to have been standing too close to them (and in the middle of a vehicle traffic lane) and they wouldn't have been walking by naturally, but reacting to my conspicuous "photographer" prescence.
I might try this type of shot again from the top of a nearby restaurant that has a 2nd floor outdoor deck, and use my 70-200mm lens, which would potentially get that angle/space and also not effect the behaviour of the tourists (i.e. potential subjects) walking by ;)

Wearing his compulsory uniform the reckless young non-conformist rebel walked a perfectly straight line.

To me, this feels more like a shot of the... boardwalk?... that happened to get feet in it. Wonder how it would've looked if you'd gotten in close on the feet...

A nice take on the theme and good colour impact with the contrasting blue and red and grey of the boards. I kind of wish the foot nearest the red had a little space ...
